Water woes.
Let’s be real, not all water tastes the same and yes, water does have a taste. More people than you think dislike the taste of water. As a result they don’t drink enough. For me personally, I’m not a fan of water. Hold up, say what now! Yup, you read that right. I’m not a fan. How do I stay hydrated you ask? I come up with creative ways to get my water intake.
A huge part of my success living the Keto Lifestyle comes from drinking the recommended 8-10 cups of water each day. If you’re like me adding lemon or lime juice can be a game changer. Not only is lemon water refreshing, it’s a great source of vitamin C, it supports weight loss and it aids in digestion. It also eliminates the bloating I get from drinking regular bottled water.
Another trick that has worked well for me is adding fresh fruit pieces to my water. Just that hint of fruit flavor is enough to help me drink more. Many times thirst is disguised as hunger. When I think I’m hungry, often times I’m really just dehydrated. Drinking a bottle of water usually does the trick and prevents me from eating ‘just because’. Most importantly water gives you the feeling of being full. If you drink a bottle of water before your meal you’ll find that you eat less and feel full faster.
So drink up. You’ll be glad you did.
